I just had the pleasure of presenting at a pretty amazing professional development day in Raleigh North Carolina. I got the opportunity to speak about how to use business analysis to lead organizations to better business outcomes. This annual event is one to ensure you schedule on your calendar for 2020 if you can make the trip. It’s an all-day professional development event hosted by the North Carolina PMI chapter – NCPMI (use this hyperlink for NCPMI) https://ncpmi.org/.
I have been at conferences hosted by major conference producers that weren’t as nice. It was very apparent that the chapter officers of NCPMI really care for the profession, their members, and the community. The event was well-organized, carefully planned out, and spectacularly executed. I previously volunteered myself at my local chapter when I lived in NC – holding the VP of Professional Development position for several years. I know a bit about the dedication and hard work required to pull off a chapter event. I can’t imagine an entire 8-hour professional development day. The event drew 1200+ practitioners, the speakers were amazing, the layout of sponsor tables and overall logistics of this event was out of this world! A big shout out to the NCPMI chapter and a job that was simply amazing! Thanks for all you do for the community of project professionals. I hope to be invited back next year!…we’ll see.
